The Cranbrook Track and Field facility opened in 1986 for the BC Summer Games. The facility offers an 8-lane, 400 metre track, a natural grass field surface and bleacher seating for 300.
The facility plays host to numerous track and field school meets throughout the season and is also used by local football and rugby clubs.
In 2006, the facility track was upgraded with a new rubberized surface.
A concession, two washrooms, two changerooms and an equipment room are located on site. Additional bleacher seating is available.
The track and field is located at the College of the Rockies. Depending on the time of year, the college may be able to offer additional services such as access to the gym/fitness room, classrooms, and accomodation in the Purcell House residence.
