The Cranbrook Rec-Plex offers an excellent training and competition facility for a variety of sports.
The modern facility hosts an NHL-size arena which is home to the Western Hockey League's Kootenay ICE. The arena is also used for a variety of hockey and figure skating events and has five available dressing rooms.
The curling rink, originally opened in 1973, is also part of the Rec-Plex operations. The facility has had a number of upgrades and hosted major events, such as the TSN Skins Game. The facilty has eight ice sheets, a media room and a licensed banquet/viewing area.
The aquatic centre includes an 8-lane, 25 metre pool with a wave pool, steam room, sauna and hot tubs.
A racquet court is available and can be quickly converted to either squash or racquetball.
The NHL size hockey arena can host 4,700 spectators. The facilty is home to the Kootenay ICE of the Western Hockey League.
