Kitsilano Beach (and Park)

Kitsilano Beach is an excellent location for a range of different hosting opportunities. Its sandy beaches frequently host volleyball tournaments and are often used by beach soccer enthusiasts. The beach also serves as a starting point for open water swim events. For those not interested in ocean swims, the ~150 metre Kitsilano Pool is capable of hosting endurance swims and triathlons; its proximity to the seawall also supports triathlon hosting. With 10 tennis courts, Kitsilano Beach is also a potential location for tennis tournaments. Moreover, its two basketball courts, recently updated with “flexi-paving”, new backboards and posts, provide a location for small street basketball tournaments. Lastly, Kitsilano Beach’s restaurant, The Watermark, can provide dining facilities for large groups with a 180 seat patio and 120 seat indoor dining area. Contact the restaurant separately for event bookings by phone at 604-738-5487 or via e-mail at events@watermarkrestaurant.ca.
