In recent years the Ledgeview Mountain area has been transformed into a mountain bike park with the 500 meter McKee Hill at its core. The area is networked by snakey, smooth, single track trails providing great cruising, as well as trails which offer more technical difficulties allowing for challenging stunts.

There’s a mixture of old double track which previously existed as old roads and provides access to the summit and challenging single track wanderings. All motorized road activity has been halted by concrete barriers.

McKee Hill is one of the most southerly foothills of the Ledgeview Mountains and its geology is the result of glacial compression. The sandstone and conglomerates that predominate have been deposited by various glacial advances, the last being about 10,000 years ago. The conglomerates contain a matrix of pebbles and sandstone that have been compressed to the consistency of concrete. The traction on this surface is great even when wet.

Abbotsford's winters are cool, averaging around 2.5° Celsius in January and February, but relatively mild compared to most of Canada. The average daily high in the summer is 23.8° Celsius, but temperatures over 30° Celsius are not uncommon.
