Centennial Park offers a 2km (1.2 mi) path around Mill Lake which is excellent for running or walking. The Park also features an outdoor pool, two beach volleyball courts and a ball diamond for slo-pitch or fastball. Mill Lake is available for canoeing and largemouth bass fishing.

Abbotsford's winters are cool, averaging around 2.5° Celsius in January and February, but relatively mild compared to most of Canada. The average daily high in the summer is 23.8° Celsius, but temperatures over 30° Celsius are not uncommon.
