The Tournament Capital Centre (TCC) is a health and wellness facility unlike any other in Western Canada.
The TCC is an exceptional venue capable of hosting a variety of national sporting event championships including basketball, volleyball, soccer, football, tennis, Track & Field and swimming. The TCC provides a year-round training facility for more than a dozen local sport groups as well as event hosting venue and all-around training centre.
The Tournament Capital Centre consists of Hillside Stadium, TCC Fieldhouse and the Canada Games Pool.
Hillside Stadium – comprises a FIFA 1-star artificial field with lights, seating for 1800 spectators, Media Booth, Filming Platform and 8 dressing rooms. The field is lined for football, soccer, lacrosse and Field Hockey. 2 grass fields are within seconds of the Stadium. Also within the fenced Stadium is a 400m all-weather track and dedicated Jumps area. A dedicated Throws area shares one of the outside grass fields. Hillside Stadium was officially opened in July 2006, with Canada’s U20 Women hosting Mexico in a friendly soccer match.
TCC Fieldhouse – includes a 200m indoor track, jumps / throws area, custom-built year-round Throws Room, 2 hardwood courts, 1 rubber court, 8000 sq ft of cardio / weight-training geartraining rooms and 3000 sq. ft of meeting space. The TCC Fieldhouse was officially opened in April 2007, with Tennis Canada’s Women’s team hosting Israel in the Fed Cup.
The Canada Games Pool is an Olympic-sized 8-lane, 50 m pool with 1 and 3 m diving boards and a 5 m dive platform. The pool also offers a leisurization area, slide, sauna and hot tub services. The Canada Games Pool was built as a legacy of the 1993 Canada Summer Games held in Kamloops.
Lastly, the City of Kamloops has installed public access Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) in most of its public facilities, including the TCC, to create a safe environment for all training or competing participants or spectators.
