Whistler

(pop. 10,000)

Whistler is nestled in the Coast Mountains 120 km north of Vancouver and features two spectacular mountains, four championship golf courses, shops, restaurants, and accommodations galore, hiking trails, and arguably the best mountain bike park in the world.

Whistler is more than a world renowned resort; it is also a real mountain town with long-term residents and a transient workforce. This growing community offers a range of schools and clubs, and has a high degree of political and environmental awareness. A strong sense of community exists with a passionate commitment to protecting the environment. To help guide Whistler’s journey toward a sustainable future, Whistler 2020 an ambitious vision and planning approach was developed.

Most call it the Whistler Conference Centre. We like to think of it as the centre for celebration, announcement, excellence, brainstorming, networking and so much more. Our conference centre is a striking mountain lodge in the heart of an alpine village within easy access of hotels and activities. It's an inspiring, friendly, and relaxing setting to stage your next national sport conference, meeting or AGM. There is 40,000 sq feet/3640 sq. meters total rentable space, the largest being the Sea to Sky Ballroom which can accommodate 1600 people theatre style or 1320 banquet style (rounds of 10).

Whistler is not only a place of scenic wonder, but also a region rich in history and cultural background. Before becoming a world-class ski resort, Whistler drew visitors from far and wide.

Weather Information
