The longest winter season in North America in combination with summer glacier skiing and riding, alpine sightseeing and hiking, and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park make Whistler Blackcomb a year round, world class resort destination.
Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains have been host to several World Cup, national and international skiing and snowboarding competitions. Both mountains combined feature 8 terrain parks including the Whistler Mountain Habitat Terrain Park, Blackcomb Mountain Terrain Garden, Blackcomb Mountain Nintendo Terrain Park, Blackcomb Mountain Superpipe, Blackcomb Mountain Snow Cross Track, Blackcomb Mountain Summer Glacier Terrain Park, and the Blackcomb Mountain Highest Level.
With an annual average of 33 feet (10 metres) of snowfall, 200+ trails, more than 17 alpine bowls filled with powder, 38 lifts, amazing terrain parks, four glaciers and a one mile vertical rise of corduroy, chutes and pillow lines, there’s a reason Whistler is consistently voted the number one ski resort in North America.
Whistler Mountain also features the infamous Dave Murray Downhill, the groundbreaking Whistler Bike Park and numerous skiing, hiking, running and biking trails.
Blackcomb Mountain also features an Air Dome, Tube Park, and tons of skiing, hiking, running and biking trails.
Both mountains have also hosted several summer sporting events including running and mountain biking competitions and races.
Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains combined have eight terrain parks featuring rails, jibs, table tops, superpipes and half pipes.
Whistler Mountain's top elevation is 2182 m and has a vertical rise 5020 ft. Skiable Terrain on Whistler Mountain is 4,757 acres/1,925 hectares.
Blackcomb Mountain's top elevation is 2284 m and has a vertical rise of 5280 ft. Skiable Terrain on Blackcomb Mountain is 3,414 acres/1,382 hectares.

Winter:
Due to Whistler’s coastal proximity, temperatures are moderate through the winter season, rarely dipping below -10°C (12°F) in the valley and -15°C (5°F) in the alpine during the coldest part of the year. Expect -5°C (22°F) average daily alpine temperatures during most of the winter months.
Summer:
Average temperatures in Whistler Valley can range through the summer months from 9 Celsius (48 Fahrenheit) to 27 Celsius (81 Fahrenheit). Average temperatures in the alpine during the summer months can range from -1 Celsius (30 Fahrenheit) to 16 Celsius (61 Fahrenheit).
