But the real story at Apex Mountain, are the snow conditions. The sky drops 19 ft. or 600cm of feathery light sparkling powder each season and with an average temperature of -4˚ C the conditions are unbeatable. The vertical drop is 610 m or 2000 ft with 68 runs and 4 lifts dedicated to 36% advanced or expert skiers, 48% to intermediate and 16% to novices.
The village is well stocked for your stay on the mountain. Ski rental is available including high performance skies as well as snowboard rentals and skate rentals. A retail shop has the latest and greatest equipment in the industry with a full line of demo skis to try. There is a general store with Okanagan wines, beer and spirits as well as most anything else you might need to enjoy your stay. Several restaurants and an après ski saloon provide night time entertainment.
Apex Mountain is the only resort in Canada to host the NORAM men’s and women’s Super G and downhill races.
A World Cup aerial site and a World Cup mogul course created for the 2006 FIS World Cup Freestyle Final is the training site choice for such international teams as Belarus, Japan, Australia, United States and is also the host site for the Canadian team.
