The Memorial Arena has been in operation since 1954 and the facility is well used by figure skating and minor hockey groups. The arena has four dressing rooms and seating for approximately 1,500 spectators. The Memorial Arena is located in close proximity to the Cranbrook Rec-Plex and can be utilized as an additional training surface.
In 2010, a major capital investment of $3M was directed to the facility. A new concrete slab, boards and glass replacement were included in the renovations. At 190' x 80', the ice surface is slightly smaller than NHL dimensions but can be used for a variety of training purposes.
The facility features a large warm viewing area overlooking the ice surface. This area offers an area for off-ice training and team meetings. There are four dressing rooms available.
