A legacy of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Creekside Community Recreation Centre provides a gathering place for the sport community in a spectacular setting. Creekside, the first LEED Platinum certified community centre in Canada, features a fitness centre, gymnasium, dance studio, several multi-purpose spaces and is also home to Canadian Sport Centre Pacific's Vancouver location. The adjacent outdoor plaza also provides great event hosting space.
An on-site childcare facility, restaurant and non-motorized boating centre are coming soon. The boating centre will include a 140 sq m boating facility which is sure to become a prime location for canoeing, kayaking, rowing, and dragon boating in Vancouver’s False Creek.
Located within the Athletes Village during the 2010 Winter Games, this 4,200 square metre (45,000 square foot) modern, green facility provided office space for the Olympic and Paralympic Village mayor, management staff and Host First Nations. The restaurant, retail space and meeting rooms were used by Olympic sponsors to provide services and celebration spaces for athletes.
