The Golden District Recreation Centre is within easy access to all amenities in town. The facility underwent upgrades in 2005 and is the centre is used by the local Figure Skating Club and the Golden Extreme Junior "B" Hockey team.

The rink is official National Hockey League (NHL) dimensions, 200' long and 85' wide. The centre features a large heated observation area upstairs, perfect for team meetings and training. There is office space available, as well as storage space.
