Greater Vernon Recreation Complex
The Greater Vernon Recreation Complex offers the following facilities for your training needs:
Auditorium:
With an area of 12,404 square feet, the auditorium can seat up to 1,000 theatre style, 718 for a banquet, 550 for a cabaret or 800 at a dance. A large commercial style kitchen with 500 place settings is also available.
Priest Valley Gymnasium:
A Full-size high school gymnasium (50'x84')
The Dogwood Gym:
A multi-use gymnasium (42'x84')
Meeting Rooms:
1. The Club Room (accommodates 75 people for a meeting and is equipped with a sound system and some audio visual equipment),
2. The Vernon Room (accommodates 105 people seated and has a separate entrance from the parking lot), and
3. The Halina Hall (accommodates 175 people, has a stage and a sound system).
Vernon Curling Club:
An eight sheet playing area, two large non-smoking viewing areas, two large locker rooms, a generously comfortable lounge, completely equipped concession, a complete pro shop, rental equipment for all levels and the most knowledgeable staff.
Aquatics Centre:
Consists of a 25 metre, 8 lane pool for lap swimming and a separate free-form leisure pool. In addition, the facility provides a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, waterslide, one metre diving board, rope swing, climbing wall, and fitness centre.
Priest Valley Arena:
Ideal training arena for figure skating, speed skating, ringette, and hockey.

Weather Information
Summers are warm with hot days, boasting clear sunny skies and low humidity. Shorts, t-shirts, sundresses, and bathing suits are the best bet during the summer season.
Winters are generally much milder than other areas east of the Valley. Although snow is abundant at the surrounding ski resorts, it rarely stays for long on the Valley roadways. Sweaters, vests and fleece clothing are popular during our fall and winter seasons.
Dressing in layers is recommended for optimum comfort, especially in the spring and fall seasons, as temperatures can fluctuate between cool mornings and hot daytimes but return to cool evenings. And don't forget your sunglasses, you'll need them for any time of the year!
