Guildford Recreation Centre is an award-winning state-of-the-art training and competition facility. It has the ability to host multiple sports in the 3 gymnasiums and 9 multi-purpose rooms. Past events include national and international wrestling, gymnastics and badminton tournaments.
The 3 national calibre gymnasiums are over 18,000 sq ft with ring and bar floor sockets for gymnastics and are capable of accomodating 3 basketball, 4 volleyball or 12 badminton courts. The facility also has a 7200 sq ft weight room, a 1700 sq ft fitness and dance studio with wood-sprung floor, 9 multi-purpose rooms and a 200m 2-lane indoor running track.
In 2009, the Guildford Recreation Centre will host the Canada Elite Men's Artistic Gymnastics Competition, the BC Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition and the National Wheelchair Boccia Tournament.
