Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is located on the eastern-most slopes of the Purcell Mountains. Kicking Horse is dramatically surrounded by six national parks: Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mt. Revelstoke, Jasper and Banff.
During the winter, Kicking Horse offers a breathtaking 1,260 m (4,134 ft) of vertical and is famed for its champagne powder. Thanks to this and more, Kicking Horse has been recognized with "Best Steeps" by Ski Canada magazine (2007). Furthermore, it is world renowned for its cross country trails, located a few minutes for the resort base.
From late spring to early fall, the resort is also a key destination for a variety of outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking and hiking.
