The Kimberley Curling Club has recently gone through accessibility upgrades making this facility a hidden treasure in the world of wheelchair curling. The venue upgrades include covered ramp access and automatic doors leading into the building.
Once inside, athletes can gain access to the ice via a ramp and automatic door system. The playing surface consists of six sheets of playable ice. Upgrades to the insulation, a new Zamboni and two of the best ice makers in British Columbia, make this facility a true test of athleticism. Players and spectators will be encouraged to take in a few ends while enjoying the social aspect of the game in the accessible, main floor function space.

The first major event to take place at the refreshed facility is the British Columbia Mixed Curling Championship, scheduled for March 23-28, 2009.
