Situated around tranquil Lost Lake, this park is accessible by Valley Trail and by walking from the village. The park has biking, walking or running trails as well as a grassy area with picnic tables and BBQ pits, a beach, buoyed swim areas, several swimming docks, a concession, a group area and washroom/change rooms. This is a great venue for private events, running, biking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing events.
Mountain Biking trails at Lost Lake provide everything from smooth logging roads to tight twisty technical single track. All of the Whistler race events use this area to its best including the 24 hour races, Loonie races and a couple of National level events.
In 2007, the Municipality linked in all the trails that have been constructed over the last 3 years for events such as the 24hr of Adrenaline and created a superb technical XC trail set that runs through from the Ticket Booth to the bridge over Fiztsimmoms Creek by Green Lake.
The Lost Lake Cross Country trail system has over 30 km of trails winding through diverse and scenic terrain including Lost Lake Park, the Chateau Whistler and Nicklaus North golf courses. The cross country trails are impeccably groomed and trackset daily to accommodate both classic and skate skiing. In total we have 30 km groomed for skate skiing and 25 km trackset for classic. Approximately, 4 km of trails are lit in the evenings for a reduced night rate.
12 km of designated snowshoe trails allow another option to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Lost Lake Park.
There’s plenty of parking conveniently located in the cross country skiers Lot 4A off Lorimer Road. You may also access the trails from the Village by the day skier’s lots or from the Meadow Park Sports Centre, north of the village off Highway 99.
