Mackenzie Recreation Centre is an excellent multi-use facility that features an NHL-sized arena that can accommodate hockey, ringette and figure skating, as well as indoor short course speed skating events. A meeting room overlooks the ice surface providing a private viewing area for evaluations or coaching sessions while training activities are in progress. A newly installed sound system comes complete with state of the art speakers and wireless microphone unit.
A multipurpose room that provides a sport floor and wall of mirrors makes an inviting space for dryland training. The fitness centre is fully equipped with hammer strength equipment as well as a variety of cardio machines that will enhance cross training opportunities for every sport.
Mackenzie Recreation Centre is located in the centre of the communtiy and provides a full service food venue that can accommodate small to large groups and any dietary requirements. Within walking distance you will find a variety of accommodations, restaurants, retail shops and services.
The NHL Standard arena has a seating capacity for 790 spectators. Amenities include five dressing rooms, LED Scoreclock and a newly installed sound system.
Four sheet curling rink with viewing capacity on the main floor and in the lounge located above the foyer area.
Weight room is fully equipped with Hammer Strength equipment as well as a variety of Life Fitness cardio machines that enhance cross training opportunities. In 2007 the Olympic Canadian Ski Cross Team used the weight room while they held their training camp.
