The Nanaimo Ice Centre opened in 2006 and features two NHL-size ice rinks. Rink One has a seating capacity of 400 and Rink Two has a capacity of 200. The facility also offers 11 change rooms, two officials room, a warm lounge area perfect for media, VIPs or banquets.
The twin arena is located in the heart of Nanaimo's sports zone, surrounded by the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, Rotary Bowl Track, Baseball Stadium, Rotary Field House and fields (softball, baseball, field lacrosse), and the University of Vancouver Island main campus' rentable student housing (May-August).
