Penticton is an exciting sporting community. Home of Ironman Canada, the Okanagan Hockey School, Apex Mountain Resort and the 1955 World Champion Penticton Vees hockey team, we celebrate our athletes and our sporting history.

Penticton has a superb hosting reputation. With over 1000 hotel and motel rooms to accommodate your sports team, and over 100 restaurants to feed those hungry athletes, we can keep your team comfortable, fuelled and ready for action.

Indoors or out, we’ve got your sport covered! Two new additions to the Penticton sport scene are the Adidas Sportsplex and the South Okanagan Events Centre which accommodates both NHL and Olympic sized hockey rinks and an NHL sized practice rink. We have high quality soccer, baseball, rugby and softball fields as well as two spectacular lakes to play beach volleyball, swim, windsurf, water ski or sail, and a ski hill that offers downhill, free-style, cross-country and snowshoeing.

While your family member or companion is playing or competing, explore some of Penticton’s other exciting activities. A winery tour is a must, with close to forty just minutes away. Spend an afternoon visiting the fascinating S.S. Sicamous sternwheeler, the Penticton Museum and Penticton Art Gallery for a little history and culture. Get active and play a round of golf, cycle the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, scale Skaha Bluffs or get wet with a wide array of water activities. Or visit the crossroads of Main and Front Streets where turn of the century storefronts house an eclectic mix of restaurants, boutiques, day spas, galleries, bookstores and cafés. This busy hub is also where the Saturday morning farmers’ market is held. After a hard day of play the city has intimate and offbeat music venues that cater to talented newcomers and big name acts. The South Okanagan Event Centre is the newest entertainment venue and features exciting acts throughout the year.
