Richmond

(pop. 188,000)

Richmond is a culturally diverse and geographically unique city centrally located on Canada's West Coast. 20 minutes from Downtown Vancouver, and 25 minutes from the US border and home to the Vancouver International Airport.

Richmond has been experiencing growth and change with remarkable speed, transforming from a rural, local community to an international city with a balance of urban, sub-urban family, and rural areas. The continuing development of the City's downtown core, and the construction of our new light rapid transit system, CanadaLine, and the recent opening of the legacy phase of the Richmond Olympic Oval, ensures that Richmond's transformation is ongoing.

The new Richmond Olympic Oval was the venue location for the long track speed skating events during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
