Soccer is a major part of our sport community, with over 3000 youth players and over 1000 adult players the sport continues to grow in Prince George. The spirit within our community to host soccer events and training opportunities goes well beyond any athletes expectations.
The unique opportunity that Prince George has to offer is the number of soccer pitches available in one location – there are 13 fields in total, all of which are high quality turf fields and 6 are lit. Rotary Soccer Fields provides 8 of these fields of which 5 are lit. Additional amenities include washrooms, club house, change rooms and concession. Masich Place Stadium is also a 5 minute drive away and also provides a first-class soccer pitch with a 1700 seat stadium.
Prince George has the capacity to host regional, provincial and national events and the dedicated volunteers, officials, and local organizing committee to put is all together. Hosting experince inlcudes a range from professional soccer camps to professional and national soccer games.

Event hosting experience includes; 2007 Provincials, 2006 International Friendly Game with the Women’s National teams from China and Canada, 2006 Provincials, 2008 and 2002 BC Seniors Games, 2001 National Soccer Championships, and the 1990 BC Summer Games. In 2009 Prince George will host the BC Senior Soccer Championships for both men and women and has also hosted two professional games with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Average summer temperatures range from 7 to 20 degrees Celsius. These temperatures provide the optimum conditions for various sporting events and training opportunities.
