The South Surrey Arena is home to the Surrey Eagles junior hockey team and is one of two Olympic size rinks in the Lower Mainland.
Located in South Surrey Athletic Park, it is surrounded by forests and athletic fields. It is also next to the South Surrey Recreation Centre, Softball City, and near the South Surrey Indoor Pool that offer plenty of opportunities for dry-land training.
The arena has a professional centre of excellence atmosphere and staff have been trained by the Calgary Olympic Oval team responsible for maintaining speed skating ice surfaces during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The arena has hosted the 2005 Canadian Short Track Speed Skating Championships, the US Speed Skating team for two training camps as well as numerous provincial hockey tournaments. It will be the host arena for the 2009 National Women's Under-18 Hockey Championship in November.
