University of Victoria ( UVic ) Recreational Facilities



UVic's athletic facilities offer an excellent training ground for athletes of all abilities including indoor and outdoor pools, several natural and artificial fields, fitness and weight rooms, a dance studio, outdoor tennis courts, squash courts, and two large gyms. UVic's McKinnon fitness & weight centre is one of the largest in Western Canada with over 18,000 square feet of weights and cardio machines. The UVIC campus itself is very scenic and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and provides a serene training environment that is centrally located. On-campus residences and catering are available.

Fast Facts

The Ian Stewart Complex boasts a field house, an 18000 sq. ft. Fitness/Weight Centre, an ice rink, a 25 metre outdoor pool, three international squash courts, a gymnasium, and many other amenities.
