Watermania

Watermania is part of the Riverport Sports & Entertainment Complex, with neighboring facilities including the Richmond Ice Centre, Gold’s Gym, Zone Bowling Centre, Cineplex theatres, the Holiday Inn Express and a number of restaurants.

Watermania’s 57 metre competition pool with moveable bulkhead can accommodate a variety of uses including 25 or 50 metre swimming competitions, water polo, synchronized swimming and spring board diving (1, 3 and 5 metres). The eight (8) lane competition pool has a designated warm-up/cool down area. The Aires electronic timing system with touch pads can accommodate single or double ended swim competitions, as well as water polo events. Pool depths range from 1.12-4.2 metres.

The facility has both male and female change rooms, as well as family change rooms designed with a variety of options to address disabled accessibility. Coin operated lockers. Wheelchair accessible.

The 3,000 square foot fitness centre offers a variety of circuit weight training equipment, free weights and cardio equipment (including treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, recumbent and upright bikes).

A 2,400 square foot multipurpose room, with moveable divider wall, offers the option of separating the room into two smaller rooms (1,300 and 1,100 square feet).

Large wave pool and two (2) exciting water slides provide ongoing recreational swimming opportunities even during major swim competitions.
