The Whistler Olympic Park was the site for all Nordic events during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Visitors and athletes alike can now enjoy the use of the facility on a year-round basis. Featuring 90 km of expertly groomed cross-country ski trails at a variety of skill levels (both skate and classic), the Park also offers lit trails for night skiing, snowshoe trails, a biathlon range and stadium, towering ski jumps and incredible views.
The Whistler Olympic Park also features an 11,000 sq ft Day Lodge and includes facilities for ski tuning and waxing, change facilities with showers and toilets, first aid centre, food service and meeting space.
Whistler Olympic Park is the first Olympic Nordic venue to include all three traditional Nordic sport stadiums in one site: cross-country, ski jumping and biathlon.
The Day Lodge features a spacious athletes’ lounge and outdoor deck with stunning views. The inviting athletes’ lounge offers 172 square metres (1,850 square feet) of beautiful timber-framed space and two fireplaces. The lounge opens onto a 150 square-metre (1,600 square feet) wrap-around deck. Lounge rental includes exclusive use of its commercial kitchen and sound system, deck, and access to mens and womens change rooms, shower rooms, and washrooms.
Situated 500 metres from the Day Lodge, the Biathlon Building is situated alongside the biathlon shooting range. It contains two 42 square-metre (450 square feet) multipurpose rooms and washroom facilities.
The Cross-Country Skiing Building is located only 100 metres from the Day Lodge and offers a 121-square-metre (1,300 square foot) multi-purpose room and washroom facilities.
