Every year during the July 1st long weekend, Williams Lake rolls out the welcome mat for competitors and spectators to enjoy several days of action packed rodeo excitement. June 30 – July 3rd, 2011 will mark the year of the 85th Annual Williams Lake Stampede. The rodeo features Canadian Professional Rodeo Association sanctioned events such as bull riding, ladies barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, chuck wagon races, and much much more.

The Stampede Grounds itself is an ideal venue for hosting both equestrian, as well as sports entertainment based events. The facilities feature a grandstand with a capacity well over 4500, VIP seating, ample parking, as well as two concessions, office space and a ticket booth. Across the infield is a campground with over 57 fully serviced stalls supplemented with a tenting area and laundry facilities. The Stampede Grounds has ample parking and fully accessible washrooms.

With its central location and easy visibility in the middle of a wide open bowl in the heart of Williams Lake, the Stampede Grounds is an ideal venue to host community wide events. It is a one-of-a-kind facility located in of BC's most beautiful regions. Home to the Cariboo Gold Rush, cowboys and cattle ranching, incredible fishing and outdoor recreation, Williams Lake has it all.
